This picture shows an aerial view of the “World” and "Palm" islands, off the coast of Dubai. On the left is a palm-shaped island which consists of two kilometers long trunk with 17 fronds surrounded by a ring of breakwater. The construction of this island took 5 years and cost a total of 14 billion dollars. It is bracing for the arrival of its first residents this month. The island on the right shaped like the world map consists of 300 small islands and will be completed in the year 2008. And Michael Schumacher was recently given a 7 million dollar island which forms part of the Antarctica portion by Dubai’s crown prince, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
