In Feng Sha Wang, a small town located in northern Laos, explosives and ammunitions are so common that even table lamps are made from them. Mines, guns and ammunitions are also hung on the wall as decorations! Kids play with bombs since young, and even cows and sheep are bred to walk in front of humans in case of mines lurking ahead! In case you are wondering, these explosives are left behind from the Vietnam war. They were made from high grade steel and iron. Since metal is much stronger and more durable than wood, the people in this town recycle the metal and use them as building materials.
