World's Tallest Man?
This man is now 2.4 m tall – and he’s still growing! The young Chinese man, Zhao Liang, plans to contest the Guinness World Record for the World’s Tallest Man when he stops growing. The current title holder - Bao Xishun from China's Inner Mongolia - is of an astonishing 2.36 m tall.Zhao Liang - a communications company employee in northeastern China's Jilin province – claims that he is naturally tall and is still growing taller by a few centimeters yearly. At the age of 17, he has already reached a height of 1.9 m, and he was growing at an alarming pace of about 10 cm per year!
At the age of 19, Zhao was already 2.02 m tall, which troubled his concerned parents. His bed was too small and normal clothes wouldn’t fit him; everything had to be custom made.
The “tall genes” seems to be present in his generation as his younger sister is 1.8 m tall whereas his younger brother is 1.85 m. Surprisingly, his mother measures less than 1.7 m and his father is less than 1.8 m.
