A 58-year-old man named Kong who makes a living by collecting rubbish has made a robotic pachyderm from parts which he collected over the past 6 months.Kong was inspired by tourists who took pictures of a cattle sculpture in a nearby park. He believes that he can make money by coming up with a moving elephant for people to ride on.
This 1.5 meters high and 2 meters long robot has legs and wheels made of steel tubes and a nose made of wood. A second-hand motorbike engine which cost $787 was installed to make it move. His robot is only half-finished and there is still room for further improvements. Once it is complete, Kong plans to display it in a nearby park.
