Teen Shot in Face Coughs Up Bullet Casing

A 19-year-old shooting victim in Washington State has been spared paralysis all because of what's being called a "miracle cough."

Austin Askins was shot in the mouth by a stranger over Labor Day weekend. The bullet was lodged near his spine and doctors said they would not be able to remove it.

As you might expect, Austin was having trouble breathing and swallowing and was actually on his way to a surgical appointment when he miraculously coughed up the bullet.
