Ryan Dickey, aged 10, found a four-legged chick wondering around its incubator. This little clucker is a Barnevelder chicken, a Dutch breed which makes use of its bottom two legs to walk. According to Mrs. Dickey, "He looks really robust and strong, he's good, he's just cruising along." The family had decided to keep the chick as a pet and intend to name it Jack-peg-a-leg.Other four-legged chickens had been reported in Romania and Saudi Arabia but researchers said that such occurrences were rare.
