A guy tries to help his friend to find a suitable PC -- an excellently usable -- PowerMac G4, of the "Quicksilver" variety on eBay. He bids and wins, and upon paying the buyer he receives the much anticipated shipping box. He picks it up from the UPS depot in International Falls, and when the UPS guy brings it out, he hears it tumbling around in the box!
He opens it up and finds the following packing materials:
- An oily pizza box with leftover pizza cheese and grease that acts as an anti-static barrier.
- 2 litre pop bottles and milk jugs.
- A hard drive that was merrily engaged in the "click of death" on bootup.
- Only had half the RAM that it was supposed to have.
- A slower processor than first described.
More disturbing packing materials after the jump.
