Wrinkled skin can be found on the small arms of this poor 6-month old baby. He's so skinny that even the shape of his bones can be clearly seen. He opens his mouth and cries like any other baby, except his cries and wailing can't be heard. Born in December last year, this younger brother among the twins was in good health -- until this year's February.
In February, both twins were coughing and having fever frequently. A detailed checkup revealed that the elder twin has neonatal septicemia.
For the past few months, the couple spent about US$4,000 of their savings visiting numerous hospitals, hoping to find out what was wrong with their younger child. In the end, he was diagnosed with atelectasis. Doctors have advised the couple to bring their child to Shanghai or Beijing for treatment.
However, the couple said that they are now broke and are hoping that there's some traditional medicine that can cure their poor kid.
