On Nov 11, 2007, in order to promote turkey rice in the city of Jiayi, Taiwan, the world's largest bowl of turkey rice was cooked to serve 800 people. A total of 150kg of rice and 4kg of turkey meat were involved in its making. The bowl is about 1.2 meter high and has a diameter of 1.8 meter. The event was organized by a government official.
