302 carats Greenland Ruby

Greenland rubyThis Greenland gemstone was carved from a 440 carat uncut ruby discovered in 2005 in the Fiskenaesset district of Greenland and has an estimated value of $500,000 Canadian. Frankly speaking, I still prefer diamonds as they emit some form of mesmerising shine.

too bad diamonds are artificially inflated in price. debeers started the whole "diamond for your engagement ring" thing to make lots of money. then they inflated prices. in fact, diamonds used to be considered to be a rather meh gems. neat ruby though.
