
These USB batteries work just as the normal batteries do. The only difference is when they run out of power; you can just pop off the lid and recharge them via a USB port. As long as you are near a PC, you won't need any bulky chargers anymore. Each of these NiMH (nickel-metal-hydride) batteries requires 5 hours to get its full charge. Currently, they’re available in just the AA flavor which cost $24 USD for a two-pack.
These batteries might just deliver the same killer blow to the battery market that memory sticks did to floppy discs.
