This modular armchair-sofa called Bulldang is designed by Hirohiko Kamiya in collaboration with Dupont de Nemours. It is shaped like intestines and consists of a segmented tube nine meters long, which offers users the possibility of composing a seat adapted to their use depending on their idea of comfort. It also features the “Climate Control” cloth which allows for good ventilation, elasticity, solidity, and resistance to rubbings. It costs US $2,380. Click on the picture for a larger view.
Well, in addition to using it as furniture, it would surely doubles as a great prop for teaching kids about how the intestines work.
