Collecting winter ice for use during summer
These people are collecting ice cubes cut from the frozen Songhua River in Mudanjiang, northeast China’s Heilongjiang Province. They are stored in the cellars during winter and put to use during summer. Environmentally friendly ice anyone?Two more pictures after the jump.
