At the World Ski Championships held in Sweden recently, the local temperature dropped to -30 degrees Celsius (-22 degrees Fahrenheit). As a result, even the ski chairs were frozen.
That's what the sources say. What is the basis of your disagreement?

For one, there are places in North America that get much colder than that. The lifts work just fine. Nothing like going down the slopes in -35 to -40C Makes you feel alive... for a short while anyway :P ;)
