Another four-legged chicken

Palestinian farm worker Mahmoud Abu Znaid holds a four-legged chicken on a farm in the West Bank town of Dura, near Hebron, Wednesday, March 14, 2007. There is no clear explanation for the deformity, and the growth of an extra pair of legs occurs in rare cases, likely an accident in development.

Or is it? According to this old article on BBC, scientists have genetically-engineered chickens to grow basic "legs" instead of wings. That was in 1999 and this process could have been perfected by now… Ok, that was just a side thought and highly unlikely to be the case.
