How to bake a car?

Car made from foodIt's long been the butt of cruel motoring jokes - but an ingenious new advert for the Skoda Fabia seems set to give the marque a new lease of life.

The 60-second commercial - which is reported to have cost up to £500,000 ($986,100) to make - shows a team of bakers, model makers and home economists as they set about creating an edible version of the car.

Ingredients used include 180 eggs, 100kg of flour, 100 kg of caster sugar, 30kg of almonds, 65 kg of dried fruit, 180kg of orange sugar paste, 12.5kg of jam. The detailed steps for making this cake along with numerous images can be found after the jump. Don’t forget to check out this cool commercial by hitting play.
