Although peacock meat is sold in Chongqing, China, but it seems that many can't bear to consume this beautiful animal.
Recently, a Chongqing restaurant was promoting dishes with peacock meat, using a live peacock outside the shop to attract customers. However, business was poor as slightly more than ten portions were sold since its initial launch ten over days ago. Many residents indicated that although the peacock may be edible, many could not bear to bring themselves to feast on these beautiful creatures.
