These five sets of twins have got teachers seeing double — because they are all in the same nursery class. The ten tots, aged two and three, make up half their new school group. All joined within weeks of each other and three sets of twins are identical.
Teacher Fran Thomas said at their newly-formed Flying Start nursery: “It was a shock when they first arrived. “One set of twins is fairly unusual — but to have five sets in a class is something I’ve never heard of. It can get confusing to say the least.
The twins’ appearance in one nursery together is so unlikely that mathematicians have calculated its probability at approximately zero.
