Two newborn chicks from HeNan Luoyang(河南洛阳) have grown additional legs in just 5 days since their birth!From far, these four-legged chicks look no different than an ordinary chick. However, with a closer look, one of them has an additional "wing like" mass at the end of its furry body, and on it grows two deformed little legs. One of it has only one claw, whereas the other has two.
The second chick has additional legs grown elsewhere on its body, and as in the case of the first chick, these legs cannot be fully extended. Its chest area even has an additional wing -- one that is even larger than the size two wings.
An expert explained that the abnormality occurs during the embryonic development process, and may be caused by sudden environment change or due to heredity. However, such abnormality should not affect their growth.
