A chef in Washington, DC, is making what he calls a "hopsicle." The chef at Rustico's says the frozen beer has been selling like, well, hotcakes.He says that it started by accident when he put a beer in the freezer to get it cold quickly. Unfortunately -- or in this case, fortunately -- the brew froze solid. He ended up eating it instead of drinking it (something that many of us have probably done, but have never tried to sell!).
Now, the restaurant patrons seem to enjoy the frozen treat, especially as the weather heats up.
