Spectacular scene of Yellow River waterfall

A rare, spectacular scene emerged Tuesday, or on June 26, with the turbulent Hukou Waterfall on the Yellow River section in north China's Shanxi Province.

The river surface of more than 300 meters wide was totally inundated, including the enclosured railings from where tourists often viewed the wonderful waterfall. The main waterfall and those at either sides join to shape a 200-m-odd water curtain. Such a magnicent sight incurred from rush-down currents of torrentials rains upstream, say locals, has not been seen for many years and it could continue for a couple of days.
