A "smooching" British couple plunged 50ft from a beauty spot in Majorca — but survived when a tree broke their fall.
Leanne Hanley and Nicholas Maxwell, both 21, toppled from a wall at 5.30am after a night out in Magaluf.
Their lives were saved when they crashed into a fig tree.
Leanne, from Blackpool, is in hospital with two broken ankles while Nicholas, from Preston, Lancs, was unhurt.
Police said: “They fell the equivalent of six storeys. Normally people do not survive a fall of more than three floors.”
