Robo Crab

Harbin Engineering University has succeeded in creating a crab-like robot suitable for search and rescue missions. Designed and modeled based on real crabs, this 60 cm long, 35cm wide and 25cm thick robotic crab had passed numerous tests.

Its body weights 12kg and it is capable of moving at a speed of 540m/hr. It even comes equipped with GPS, and is able to dive into waters that are 4 meters deep to carry out search and rescue, surveying and video recording tasks.
