The eye of the storm

Picture of Hurricane Dean taken from spaceThis image was taken by crewmembers on the Space Shuttle Endeavour on Saturday Aug. 18, 2007. It shows a still photo close-up of the eye of Category 4 Hurricane Dean. At the time the shuttle and International Space Station passed overhead, the Category 4 storm was moving westerly at 17 mph (7.6km/h) nearing Jamaica carrying sustained winds of 150 mph (67km/h). The following is a video of Hurricane Dean recorded from space.
