A French engineer and inventor says he has solved a Mona Lisa mystery. He says he found proof that the original portrait included the famous lady's eyelashes and eyebrows.
Pascal Cotte says he used a high definition camera to magnify the painting 24 times, and found a single stroke of a single hair above the left brow. He says the lashes likely faded away or disappeared due to a poor attempt to clean the painting.
The results are on display at a Da Vinci exhibit at the Metreon in San Francisco.
