Adora Svitak: Child Prodigy

Adora Lily Svitak (born October 15, 1997) is an American child prodigy and internationally published author, known for her essays, stories, poems, blogs, and full-length books.

Adora began reading and writing simple words at the age of two and a half. She read chapter books a year later. At four, she began writing short stories.

At the age of six, a local newspaper in Seattle profiled Adora and her talents which led to her appearance on Good Morning America when she was seven.

Since then, she's been America's most famous child prodigy.

At the age of seven, Adora began writing blogs and keeping an online journal, where she comments on matters of both international and personal interest.

Since November 2005, Adora has toured the world to promote literacy and interest in reading and writing.

She has lectured before large audiences across the United States and recently in Great Britain.
