Ever wonder what would happen if your vehicle was struck by lightning?
Mike Knapp's truck took a direct hit Monday night while he was inside his Granite Bay home watching television. The truck, which was left with a huge hole in the hood, was parked outside.
Firefighters put out the flames, but not before the engine and electrical systems were fried.
"It's crazy," Knapp said.
The National Lightning Safety Institute said rubber tires provide no safety from such strikes.
