World's Longest Clothes Line on Show

A city in Mexico has set up the longest clothes line in the world holding more than 80,000 items.

The line in Toluca is possibly the longest ever reaching more than 24 miles (38km).

The whole idea was dreamt up by Jamie Lopez during his time at university.

He said: "We were looking to involve people by donating clothes by hanging clothes and by also delivering them to the society most in need."

In just three weeks organisers have managed to gather more than 100,000 t-shirts, shorts and a large collection of pants.

Over the past five days more than 150 people have been involved in hanging out all the clothes.
