Device Unveiled That Sends Electricity through the Air

A new device could mean the end of having to plug in your iPod or mobile phone to recharge them.

A US company has unveiled a wireless power system that can send electricity through the air. The Powercast can charge gadgets up to three feet away and is set to go on sale next year.

It will mean an end to power adaptors, no more plugs.
