Two performance artists who are participating in a performance in Beijing will live in a glass house for a month, exposing their daily life to visitors.
This specially designed "home" for the "couple" measures 4m(L) x 3m(B) x 4m(H), and has no doors or windows that can be opened, except for a small skylight. Each person is allocated a room which is partitioned from the center of the house and furnished with a bed, a desk and a PC with internet access and lamps.
This event planner Mr Wong told reporters that though the artists can see each other, no physical contact will be possible due to the partitioning. To ensure that both artists are within the house at all times before their "release" on May 22, the door has been sealed using nails ever since they entered the house.
