Dells on a plane

With regard to the recent Dell flaming laptop incident, Qantas, the Australian airline has just gone to the extreme by disallowing Dell laptop users (not even those unaffected by the recall) to run on battery power whiles onboard their plane. At one point, Qantas even enforce the rule that all passengers must remove their batteries at the gate and tape up the contact points. Imagine the inconvenience it would cause to business travelers.
